"This is more than I've ever seen and done," Alec said and didn't think he needed to say anymore. Luke had been a Shadowhunter at one time, he knew what holidays were celebrated and which weren't. Luke also knew his parents probably in ways Alec never would so he knew what they were like and how they raised their children.
"This kind of holiday would be Izzy's dream," he commented, reaching for the mug so he could make up his own coffee. He needed a coffee maker. Coffee was one of those mundane things he actually liked. He liked waking up in the morning and having something hot to drink. He liked the smell and the taste and he hadn't had a really good coffee in awhile.
"She'd have wanted to cook," he said fondly, half smiling down at his mug. "You wouldn't have wanted that."
