Magnus rolled his eyes at the joke, but when they stopped and settled on Alec's face, his look was fond and his lips curved into the slightest smile.

The question however took him off-guard, and he searched Alec's face for a sign. He didn't know what he was even looking for, but there were too many levels to that question to answer without a thought.

"I've moved on from many cities," he said quietly. "But not from the people I love."
