"Spencer, however, is still not on the table," Luke answers, his lips twitching up faintly. He's known Magus for far too long to be truly threatened by the comments or to be really bothered by them at all. Over the years in New York he'd been the subject of Magnus and his flirtatious comments more than a few times and he'd learned well enough how to deal with them, mostly by accepting that they were coming to him, hearing them, and deflecting them with vague responses and amused smiles. Mostly because he was amused and at times even slightly flattered.

There's no real intention in the comments, especially since Luke is still fairly certain there's some real feelings Magnus has for someone else in this room.

"We're alright," he says, his smile softening a little. "Has Alec told you much about it?" Luke's actually relatively comfortable talking about it, talking about the things he'd been seeing, what he'd had to do. There's no one in Darrow who's going to be particularly sad about the fact that he had to rip out Valentine Morgenstern's throat.
