Caroline rolls her eyes good-naturedly as she looks over at him, unable to stop the smile on her lips. "Well, hello to you, too. Yes, Luke, it's nice to see you and really great of you to host Thanksgiving." Eyes sparkling with good humor, she turns a little to face him, and honestly, she looks... better. Not back to one-hundred percent, but she was telling the truth when she said that she was used to this sort of stuff, and mostly needed time to recover.
"He," she says after a second when her gaze strayed to Neal who was making smalltalk, "Is Neal Caffrey. He's only been here about a month and a half." She pauses, her brows furrowing because she's not entirely sure what bucket to put him in. He's definitely not her boyfriend, but they've also gone on several dates and he'd saved her freaking life-- so she sort of settles on, "We're.... it's complicated, but he's a good guy. He saved my life, back in-- Back there. And we went to the museum." That last bit has Caroline wrinkling her nose as she smiles, knowing all too well that what she's saying is a little ridiculous, like going to the museum was a big feat. Still, it was one of the nicest things she's done in a long time, so... it matters.
