"Oh, I would never think the museum was boring," Luke answers, pressing a hand to his chest. "I just seem to remember that riding a bike was your top suggestion when I told you what I found fun."

He's teasing her, though, and he drops his hand a moment later, looking at her thoughtfully. "I'm glad it was nice." It seems like she likes him, which means Luke will be watching him closely and very carefully. Even with Clary, he's never been outwardly the overprotective father, understanding that all young women are capable of making their own decisions and to assume otherwise, to assume he knows better because he's older and a man, is an awfully disgusting viewpoint to hold. But he still watches. Just in case the time comes when they do need to ask for help and he can be ready.
