"Hey, Reid," Alec said, slipping in through the open door and giving Reid a nod as he passed. He'd taken a chance on stopping by today knowing that he'd find Luke but hoping to find Reid as well for no other reason than that it had been awhile and he'd wanted to at least check in.

"You've been busy lately," he said mildly once he was inside. He picked up a nearby book and read the back idly. It didn't sound exciting. He put the book back down. "Yeah, I stopped by to talk to Luke about some...things."

He couldn't be sure exactly what Luke had shared with Reid so he said the word cautiously, watching Reid to see what, if anything, he knew.
