"There's plenty of people would want to hurt Magnus," Alec said, tone tight and emotionless. He didn't want to think of Magnus not being in this city anymore. He didn't want to think of him back in Manhattan, back in his loft while Alec was left behind.

He was over four centuries old but he'd only been in this city, this world for a few months. "As far as I know, everyone loves him. He's never told me about people hating him."
